Tomatoes - Cherry

Black Cherry
Early
Indeterminate

Wonderful and very popular “black” cherry tomato. Vigorous plants yield clusters of 1", round, deep purple, mahogany-brown cherry tomatoes. Fruits have that wonderful sweet, smoky flavor that black tomatoes are known for. Disease resistant.

Blondkopfchen
Mid/Late Season
Indeterminate

Good in varying climates

(a.k.a. Little Blonde Girl) Small golden-yellow 1" fruits with a slight citrus flavor and sweet finish. Very vigorous plant that produces clusters of fruit, with enormous yields and never a cracked fruit. Bears until frost, and fruit holds on the vine for a long time.  Give this plant some extra space and a large cage -- it likes to spread!

Chadwick Cherry or Camp Joy 2
Chadwick's Cherry
Mid Season
Indeterminate

A hardy, prolific plant and one of our favorite cherries. Easy to grow even in tough summers, these plants are practically problem-free and produce sweet yet balanced red, large 1 ounce cherries.

Tomato, Italian Red Cherry

Early
Indeterminate
Good for Containers

A robust variety that does well in containers and small gardens, yet produces big-flavored fruit. A good choice for balconies or other small spaces.

Mexico Midget

Late
Indeterminate

This is a little tomato with BIG, intense tomato flavor, way beyond what most cherries produce. Nice balance of sweetness too.  Produces lots of ½-¾" red cherry tomatoes.

Snow White

Mid Season
Indeterminate

A favorite of ours. 3/4" round fruit is a beautiful ivory, ripening to a warm pale yellow. Fruit is deliciously sweet without being too sweet and mild with a nice clean finish. Great for snacking off the vine, or as a nice contrast in salads.

Whippersnapper
Very Early
Determinate

Good for Containers

If you've been looking for a tomato to grow in containers and hanging baskets that has great flavor and is very early, you will love Whippersnapper.  Grows very well in a 3-gallon pot and will produce lots of cherry tomatoes, almost covering the foliage. In the ground, it is quite a sprawling plant. Grape-shaped, sweet fruit. Needs less sun than other tomatoes.

Wild Galapagos

Early

Indeterminate

These real-from-Galapagos heirlooms are yellow-orange, grape-sized cuties.  The plants are very prolific, intensely sweet, pest resistant -- in their native island home they have been found happily growing in harsh, almost soilless conditions.  This plant grows very large, so give it space!

Gardeners Delight
Early

Indeterminate

If you like super sweet cherry tomatoes, this is a great choice.  This red variety produces fruit in clusters, making harvest easy.  Sweet and full flavored, this one can easily replace the sweet hybrid varieties.

Riesentraube
Mid Season
Indeterminate

"Giant bunch of grapes" is how the name translates. 1-1/2" fruits produce in large clusters. This variety is full flavored, something hard to come by with cherry tomatoes.  A large, very productive plant.
